The use of Ferro silicon

Ferrosilicon is an indispensable deoxidizer in the steelmaking industry;

High silicon Ferrosilicon or Silicon alloys are used as reducing agents in the production of low-carbon alloys in the Ferroalloy industry;

In the casting industry, adding Ferrosilicon to molten iron can prevent the formation of carbides, promote graphite precipitation and spheroidization, and act as an inoculant and spheroidizing agent.

When Ferrosilicon is used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking, it is highly advantageous for increasing the temperature of molten steel due to the easy reaction between oxygen and silicon, resulting in the synthesis of silicon dioxide and the simultaneous release of increased heat energy.
